Excited for the Return of Suits!

Excited for the return of Suits this week. (January 18th) I can’t wait for the tandem of Harvey Specter and Mike Ross once again. As I am recalling the previous episodes of season 2, I can only recall some bits and pieces. Sure I can recall the whole gist of the story, like Jessica Pearson learning about Mike not going to Harvard. Harvey then fought for Mike’s job, even threatening Jessica that if Mike goes, he goes too. Harvey then made a deal with Jessica that he would do something about Daniel Hardman returning to the firm and in exchange she would let Mike stay. Mike breaking up with Jenny and then dating Rachel, and then breaking up with her too because he knew he couldn’t tell her about the truth about his career and lack of education. And then the rollercoaster in the firm, Hardman making Louis Litt a senior partner hoping to get his vote on who’s going to be the “Number 1” in the office.

It must be nice to have a boss like Harvey. Remember when Mike didn’t get a bonus from the firm? It was Harvey who explained to him that he’s not a getting a bonus from the firm because he’s not a real lawyer. Mike was so crushed. However, Harvey handed him a check, definitely from his own pocket. I wonder though, how much did he give Mike? Does anyone know? He used it so he could buy a condo unit as a surprise for his grandmother, right?

 It was also nice to get another glimpse of Harvey’s personality. First, how he stood up for Mike like a big brother. It was Donna who pointed that out, she noticed immediately that something was bothering Harvey and she knew immediately that it was something personal. She soon found out that Jessica knew the truth and ordered Harvey to fire Mike. Of course, he couldn’t do it. It even caused a rift between Harvey and Mike when Mike found out that Harvey thought of really firing him. Mike finally believed him. There was also an episode when it flashed back to the time when Harvey found out his father died and how he dealt with it. It shows us more about his personal life instead of just focusing with his career.

I’m just relying on my faulty memory here… as I didn’t finish my Suits season 2 marathon last weekend, but I think the last I remember was Mike trying to deal with the death of his grandmother. I think the next episodes will deal with that… (Just my wild guess!) I think he’ll probably regress to his drug-using days, which I think we already saw. I think Harvey will step up once again and be the big brother here. Did we really see the last of Daniel Hardman? What will happen to Louis after siding with Hardman first, and then switching sides once Mike presented the evidence against Hardman? Will Mike and Rachel get back together? I think these are the initial questions that came to my mind while anticipating the rest of season 2 of Suits. I probably would have thought of more things if not for my faulty memory.
